FAQ'S

What is the BioMemoryFoam™ used in BioPosture™ memory foam mattresses?

Every BioPosture™ mattress is made with BioMemoryFoam™, which uses the first plant- based memory foam product made in America. The patented production process creates the most breathable memory foam mattresses on the market, to help you sleep cooler and more comfortably. BioMemoryFoam™ is made without halogens, formaldehyde or latex and created in a sealed “zero emission chamber”, so gases that are the normal byproduct of the production process cannot escape into the atmosphere.

Is BioPosture™ a GREEN PROCESS product?

All BioPosture™ memory foam mattresses and pillows are made with biodegradable and rapidly renewable materials, resulting in less impact on landfills and less strain on the environment. BioMemoryFoam™ uses a 100% natural petroleum substitute to replace a portion of the petro-chemicals in its manufacturing process. Our factory runs a longer day but a shorter work week, so employees use less gas commuting and as a result contribute fewer carbon pollutants into the environment. Even the scrap cuttings of foam (pre-consumer recyclable material) are collected during production and used to form the base layer of each BioPosture™ mattress. And each BioPosture mattress is compressed at the end of the production process, rolled up shipped directly to the purchaser, greatly reducing the carbon footprint of delivery. All these efforts reflect our commitment to our environment and support our mission to produce a truly COMPREHENSIVE GREEN PROCESS product.

What is the benefit of “zoning” for neutral posture support?

.

The neutral posture support zones in every BioPosture™ BioMemoryFoam mattress is designed to keep the sleeper’s spine in optimal alignment to promote healing, better circulation and better ergonomic support. The zones are scientifically designed to help you sleep in the most natural anatomic position by supporting the lumbar area and relieving back stress, both of which contribute to a more restful sleep.

What is the warranty on my BioPosture?

Each BioPosture™ BioMemoryFoam ™mattress carries a 20-year limited warranty.

The following provisions apply to that warranty:

a. During Years 1-10, the mattress will be repaired or replaced, at BioPosture™ discretion.Transportation is the responsibility of the purchaser.

b. During Years 11-20, replacement will be 50% of original purchase price for Year 11 and increase by 5% per year through Year 20. Transportation is the responsibility of the purchaser.

c. Normal wear and tear is not covered.

d. Deteriorating foam with a visible indentation of three-quarters (.75) of an inch is covered.

e. All foam, regardless of chemical composition, will lose some of its resiliency (memory) during its life. Any such changes will not compromise comfort or pressure-relieving capabilities.

g. Our warranty does not cover mattresses used on inappropriate foundations, box springs or adjustable beds that are creating a sag in the surface.

h. Our mattress must be used with approved foundation to meet CFR 1633 fire standards.

i. Your original proof of purchase is required.

Why is BioPosture™ available only through Chiropractors?

Chiropractors report that the single most frequently asked patient question is, “Doc, what mattress should I be sleeping on?” And chiropractors and their patients know that the sleeping environment is critically important to their body’s performance and well-being. Of course, Doctors of Chiropractic have always had mattresses they could suggest. But they have never had BioPosture™, a BioMemoryFoam mattress that is only available with their referral. They know they can confidently “prescribe” BioPosture™ because it is unlike any other memory foam mattresses on the market today.

Are all components of BioPosture™ of US origin?

Yes. Our BioMemoryFoam is manufactured in the U.S. in “zero emissions chambers” to protect the atmosphere. The bamboo blend fabric is woven domestically. The product is assembled in California in an environmentally-balanced facility. It is then roll-compressed and packaged in biodegradable materials for earth-friendlier shipping directly to the home of the purchaser.

Will the BioPosture™ mattress sleep hot like other memory foams?

Foams by nature are great insulators, trapping heat. That is why foam is sometimes used to insulate a house. Thus, many people complain about sleeping hot on their memory foam mattress. This is NOT the case with BioPosture™ with its BioMemoryFoam™ due to its very open cell architecture. In tests against the leading memory foam mattresses, BioMemoryFoam™ was shown to dissipate heat 10X faster and permit 8X greater airflow through the foam, resulting in a cool sleep surface. Importantly, BioMemoryFoam™ is temperature neutral. The foam is unaffected by variations in room temperature. Other visco memory foams become hard in a cool room and soft in a warmer room.

Will I experience the “sinking in sand” effect of other memory foam mattresses?

The leading brand of memory foam mattresses works on body heat as well as weight. As the mattress senses your body heat it conforms to your shape. This can give one a feeling of sinking into quick sand. It makes changing positions during the night an effort. Not with BioPosture™. Our BioMemoryFoam mattress gives you a feeling of floating. It has the perfect intuitive response for comfort, support and makes changing positions effortless.

Are there delivery charges?

Over the last few years, our costs have increased tremendously, so we find that we have to ask our customers to share a portion of the delivery costs. The delivery charge for a BioPosture BioMemoryFoam mattress averages approximately 4% of the retail price of the mattress. Each type of accessory also has a delivery charge. If you prefer to have it delivered by a “White Glove Delivery” service, by appointment, and have your old mattress removed, a separate fee applies.

What about the removal of my old mattress?

To have your old mattress removed, or to have a new foundation installed with your new BioPosture™ mattress, you must use the “White Glove Delivery” option.

Do I need a foundation?

Any good visco memory foam mattress must be placed on a hard sleep surface. Thus we strongly recommend the use of a foundation or a platform bed. Box springs can defeat the benefits of your new BioPosture™ mattress. It is also important to note that our 20-year warranty is only in effect when the BioPosture™ BioMemoryFoam mattress is placed on and used over an approved, fire-rated foundation such as those we offer.

Are there models available with a thicker profile?

Yes, we have a 12” and a 14” model available for an additional cost. For custom orders, we can provide non-standard mattress length/width dimensions.

What is the significance of foam density?

Though many marketers of memory foam mattresses may try to convince you otherwise, density does not relate, directly, to comfort, firmness or coolness. The only proven fact is that the greater the density, the heavier the mattress. This does not mean the better the mattress.

When you buy a memory foam mattress, you will pay more for a denser foam because it costs more to make a denser foam - more raw material goes into making a denser substance. In fact, all density really tells you is how much the foam weighs. A 5.0 lb. density simply means that a cube of this material (1foot in each dimension) weighs 5 lbs

Certain memory foams in the market reach into the 8 lb. per cu. ft. density range. These foams are impractical unless the manufacturer is trying to tie weight to perceived quality.

The layers of BioMemoryFoam™ in our BioPosture™ mattresses have a density range of 3-5.0 lbs. This range gives our mattresses the best feel, best support and best durability over the life of the mattress.

Now the most pertinent point. The leading memory foam brand has some memory foams at slightly above the 5.0 lb. level. But as it turns out, not because of a product superiority, but rather because of their manufacturing limitations. They make their own memory foam, and it is actually more difficult to make lighter memory foam than it is to make the heavier grades...as it is easier to make a pound cake than a soufflé. Since they don’t have the advanced process equipment needed to made lighter weight memory foams, they not surprisingly promote what they can make. Our foam is made by FoamEx, the largest flexible urethane foam producer in America. And our foam is unique to our manufacturing process. Ours is the only comprehensive green memory foam sleep system made in America. No other manufacturer of memory foam mattresses has access to our BioMemoryFoam™.

How do I know the BioPosture™ BioMemoryFoam Mattress is right for me?

BioPosture provides you with 60 days to sleep on your new mattress. This will give you the time you need to fully adjust to this improved sleep experience. This is especially important for those individuals who have been sleeping on a conventional inner spring mattress and have now transitioned to BioPosture BioMemory Foam. While most customers report feeling the support and comfort they expected from the first night, research indicates that you may require a minimum of 30 days, and possibly longer, to allow your body to make a complete adjustment.

What happens if I cannot adjust to my BioPosture™ BioMemoryFoam mattress?

If for any reason you decide that the BioPosture mattress is not the correct mattress for you, call us and, at our discretion, we will make arrangements to exchange it or refund your purchase price. BioPosture will make this determination based upon an in-depth review and analysis of what you liked and did not like. If we choose to exchange the BioPosture mattress, you will be provided with one of equal or greater value. The charge to do the Comfort Exchange will be $100.00. Should we decide to refund your purchase price, you will receive that purchase price minus all shipping costs and the $300.00 return fee, at the end of the “60-Good Nights’ Sleep” Comfort Guarantee Period.

How much memory foam will my BioPosture™ have?

The 10” profile BioPosture™ mattress uses about 3.5” of BioMemoryFoam™ over the zoned neutral posture support layer, which is also a plant-based foam. The thicker mattresses use slightly more BioMemoryFoam™.

What BioPosture™ pillows are available?

BioPosture™ offers 2 shapes of pillows at this time: a CROWN and a WAVE Cervical in various sizes. All are made with 100% BioMemoryFoam™ and covered with the same bamboo-blend fabric.

What size mattress do I need?

BioPosture™ mattresses are available in all of the standard sizes: Twin or Single (39"x75"), Twin XL (39"x 80"), Full or Double (54"x 75"), Queen (60"x 80"), King or Eastern King (76"x 80") and California King (72"x 84"). And because all BioPosture™ mattresses are made to order, you can also order your BioPosture™ in longer and wider than standard sizes, at custom prices.

Please note:

The mattress dimensions shown may vary by 1” to 2”. Measuring the dimensions of a memory foam mattress at the sleeping surface will traditionally yield smaller measurements, as the proper fit of the cover of the mattress tends to compress the foam slightly and round the edges. Mattress length and width are measured by placing rulers or straight edges at the ends or sides of the mattress perpendicular to the floor and measuring between them.

Mattress height (or thickness) may vary by up to 1” and is measured by placing the end of the ruler on the surface that the mattress rests on (foundation or platform bed) and measuring the height to the bottom of a ruler or straight edge placed horizontally on the surface of the mattress.

Please also note that the height designation in the names of the mattresses – 10” BioMemoryFoam Mattress, 12” BioMemoryFoam Mattress, etc., is an approximation and is not intended to be the actual exact dimension.
